Clint Eastwood’s classic Western series Rawhide is coming to US cable channel AMC.
The network has acquired the show as part of a new Western-themed night of original programming on Saturdays that will also include season three of Hell on Wheels.
Rawhide, which will debut on April 20 with back-to-back episodes, stars Eastwood in the 1860s-set drama about the challenges faced during a cattle drive from San Antonio to Missouri.
It first aired on US broadcast network CBS for eight seasons from 1959 to 1966.
Hell on Wheels, developed by Endemol USA, returns for a third season as the building of the transcontinental railroad continues across post-Civil War America.
Showrunner John Wirth executive produces the series, which comes from Entertainment One and Nomadic Pictures.
