British drama Happy Valley has been sold into seven new territories by distributor BBC Worldwide.
ABC in Australia, YLE in Finland, Canal+ in France, RUV in Iceland, TVNZ in New Zealand, NRK in Norway, and SVT in Sweden have all picked up the 6×50′ series, which aired on BBC One in the UK earlier this year.
Written by Sally Wainwright, it follows the professional and personal life of a police woman (Sarah Lancashire) whose world is turned upside down when the man she thinks is responsible for her daughter’s death is released from prison.
Happy Valley is produced by Red Production Company.
